INOX Smart App Releases

Version 1.3.0

Release Date: 3/23/25

Add Multiple Devices

The INOX Smart App now offers a powerful new feature that allows administrators to add multiple devices to a single unit, significantly expanding control and flexibility. Previously, each unit could support only one lock, but with this enhancement, users can easily manage multiple locks within the same living space. This functionality is especially beneficial for properties such as student housing, multifamily rentals, and co-living spaces, where multiple access points within a unit need to be secured and controlled seamlessly. The updated unit screen provides a clear and intuitive interface—each property will display the main lock for every unit, ensuring easy navigation. By tapping on a unit, users can view the primary lock, with additional locks accessible by scrolling left or right. For more advanced management, the Settings icon reveals all locks and gateways assigned to the unit, allowing administrators to make quick adjustments. Changing the main lock is simple—just swipe left on a lock and tap "Main" to designate it as the primary access point. This upgrade enhances security and convenience, making it easier than ever to manage access control across multiple doors within a single living space.

User List Overview

The new User List Overview provides a streamlined way to manage and review user access across an entire property. From the property page, tapping the new "Double User" icon opens the Users page, where administrators can view a complete list of all users associated with the property. This enhancement offers a more hierarchical approach to access management, shifting the perspective from individual units or locks to a user-centric view. Property managers can now quickly see which units and devices a user has access to, making it easier to oversee permissions and security across multiple units. The ability to filter by active or inactive users further simplifies administration, allowing managers to focus on relevant user groups. By selecting a user and then tapping "Move-in Units & Devices," administrators can instantly view all units that the user can access. From there, tapping on a specific unit reveals a detailed breakdown of each lock the user has permissions for. This top-down approach to user management provides a more clear, efficient way to oversee access control, ensuring that property managers can quickly determine and adjust user information as needed.

Precise Scheduling Times

The INOX Smart App now offers precise scheduling for access move-in and move-out times, giving property administrators granular control over when users can enter a property. When adding a new user, admins can now schedule access down to the exact hour and minute, ensuring that permissions align seamlessly with lease agreements, check-in policies, or operational requirements. This functionality is particularly valuable for vacation rentals, multifamily properties, and other time-sensitive access scenarios where strict control over entry periods is essential. When creating or editing a user, the Move-in start and end fields determine the total duration that the user has access to the property. Additionally, the Schedule feature allows for even more control, enabling administrators to specify certain times of day and days of the week that the user is allowed entry. A key aspect of this update is that all assigned credentials—whether app-based, passcode, or RFID—are automatically governed by the Move-in end time for each unit, ensuring that access is revoked precisely when it should be. This powerful enhancement eliminates the risk of outdated credentials lingering beyond their intended period, offering a new level of security, automation, and efficiency in access management.
